PADI Mermaid Courses
PADI - Discover Mermaid
The Discover Mermaid™ experience in Margaret River or Busselton introduces simple mermaid activities in calm or confined water such as a pool or ocean location with pool-like conditions. The water will be shallow enough in which to stand. It is designed as a flexible, informative, enjoyable, and controlled experience centered on letting you discover what it’s like to mermaid dive.
To enroll in a Discover Mermaid experience, you must be aged 8 – adult. You need to be in good physical health and be comfortable in the water. No prior experience with snorkeling, skin diving or freediving is required.
Includes:
- 2 hour program including a pool session and a pool side mermaid movement session
- PADI Discover Mermaid Online Learning
- Monofin and Bifins supplied
- Pool entry
PADI - Basic Mermaid
The PADI Basic Mermaid™ course in Margaret River or Busselton combines learning supporting knowledge and principles with a confined water skill development session to introduce the fun and fundamentals of mermaid diving.
The course covers mermaid diving’s background and culture, primary safety considerations, mermaid swimming equipment and starts to develop and practice water and mermaid swimming skills
Includes:
- 1 x pool session
- 1 x pool side mermaid movement familiarisation session
- PADI Basic Mermaid Online Course
- Go Pro Footage
- Monofins & bifins supplied
Requirements:
- Comfortably swim 25m comfortably and without stopping and without flotation aids
- Back float comfortably for a minimum of 3 minutes
- Be in good physical health
PADI - Mermaid Experience
The PADl Mermaid course lets you gain a PADI Mermaid Certification upon completion. This fun course runs in locations between Margaret River and Busselton. Here 2 x water skill sessions are included. We learn and develop dynamic skills beyond Basic Mermaid in calm or confined waters such as the pool or in an ocean location when the elements provide pool-like conditions.
The Mermaid experience is flexible, informative, enjoyable and centered on letting you discover what it’s like to mermaid dive and to continue developing your mermaid skills and relaxation in the water.
(Note that the PADI Mermaid course includes Basic Mermaid, so you can start with PADI Mermaid – there is no need to take Basic Mermaid separately.

Requirements:
- Swim 50m non stop without swimming aids or assistance
- Float on your back comfortably for 5 minutes
- Be in good physical health
- As an entry level mermaid diving course no prior experience with diving of any kind is required
